Chorten Kora

 

Chorten Kora is one of the most  important stupa in Trashiyangtse which lies next to the Kulong Chu River. This stupa was built in the 18th century by Lama Ngawang Lodrö  in order to subdue a harmful demon believed to have been living at the site where the chorten is now located. The chorten was dedicated to the memory of his late uncle, Jungshu Pesan .
